Coach Neal's passion for endurance sports started when he was just 13 years old running cross-country races against local high school kids. After a successful high school and college running career, he shifted his passion to mountain bike racing. Now with well over 25 years of mountain bike racing experience and more than 10 years as one of the top regional Pro riders in the Northeast, Coach Neal knows what it takes to be successful at mountain bike racing. As a former understudy for Coach Joe Friel, Neal has applied this knowledge toward numerous overall victories in the Root 66 Race Series, multiple Easter Fat Tire Association and Kenda Cup East Podiums. Neal has also consistently achieved top three overall finishes at the Vermont 50, Freetown 50, Carrabassett Valley Backcountry Challenge, and more. Coach Neal is always looking for and creating new training techniques for mountain bike racing.
Neal is a TrainingPeaks Level 1 coach with Power Certification and a USAC Level 3 coach.
